Forgeweld presents their latest innovation in the petrol retail industry...a totally transportable, entirely autonomous, completely recoverable filling station.

This exciting new concept brings facilities closer to the consumer, is cost-effective, easy to transport and conforms to the latest international environmental specifications and requirements.

The Forgeweld Portafill© is a complete stand-alone fuelling facility consisting of a protected, insulated Fireguard™ Aboveground Storage Tank (AST), fitted with all the necessary control systems, combined with a stripping pump, fuel dispenser, as well as a generator and 5.5kw industrial compressor, if required. Add-on modules include an office/change room, pay kiosk, ablution facilities, a small convenience store and even a bolt-on canopy.

The entire unit, including the add-on modules (apart from the bolt-on canopy), can be transported in a standard container or even incorporated permanently into one. All components are of the highest quality, are fabricated to display client's corporate colours and branding and are designed to meet their specific needs.

Recent advancements in AST technology, such as Forgeweld's innovative Fireguard™ AST, which make use of double-wall insulated secondary containment, now allows for the safe storage of flammable substances like petrol aboveground at consumer facililties. Instant Fuelling Facilities Anytime, Anywhere

Portafill© is easy to transport by road or ship and can be used:

• to create facilities in previously disadvantages areas

• as an additional temporary sales point at existing petrol stations

• in areas where large investments may not be justified

• to maintain the delivery of services when natural disasters limit access to isolated areas

Portafill© is highly economical, costing less than a tenth that of a conventional service station. In the case of site closure or non-performance, the entire unit can simply be relocated to another, more favourable site.

Portafill's© Fireguard™ AST is available in either square or cylindrical form with horizontal axis ranging from 9-40m³. Popular storage capacities are 13m³, 25m³, 30m³ and 40m³. The tanks can be compartmentalised to accomodate more than one product and have inspection manholes and a corrosion-resistant coating applied on the exterior wall. A stripping pump is incorporated in the design to decant road tankers by which petrol is always delivered. Overfilling of the storage tank is protected by both a drop valve, activated at 95% tank capacity, and an Overfill Leak Detection Alarm. Fuelling is via an electronic hose/nozzle dispenser, connected to an electronic till, which activates a submersible pump, delivering 1.5hp delivering 120 litres/minute. Flow occurs through a discharge line containing a solenoid activation valve and an electronic leak detector. The dispensing pump is fitted with a shear valve to cater for accidental damage to the dispensing pump, especially whilst filling cars. The pump unit is fitted with a mechanical seal and has a delivery rate of 500 litres/minute.
