OCIO Level Monitoring System
Doing its Level Best to Protect You from Product Wasteage
The OCIO Level Monitoring System by PIUSI Fluid Handling Technology, Italy, is an innovative system for monitoring fluid levels inside petrochemical storage tanks. OCIO does this by detecting the static pressure generated by the fluid level inside the tank by means of a small pipe inseted into it. The fluid level (volume) is then displayed on its monitor, enabling continuous monitoring of the storage tank for product leakage.
The OCIO Level Monitoring System comprises:
-
A probe for static pressure detection and a pipe connecting the probe to the control unit pressure centre, running from the top of the tank (outside) to the bottom of the tank (inside), dipping into the fluid.
-
A control unit which manages the pressure sensor, an electronic board with microchip, the display monitor, a membrane keyboard for data input and maximum and minimum level contact jumpers.
-
The maximum and minimum level contact jumpers drive a relé which opens and closes clean contacts. It is possible to connect these clean contact jumpers to any device activate by the relé driven by the electronic board. The clean contact jumpers work as remote switches for externally powered devices and can support a maximum of 250V - 1 Amp (125V - 5 Amp).
-
The system is equipped with easy-to-use software which enables the operator to calibrate the instrument and to set the display as fluid level (cm/inches), volume (litres/gallons) or percentage of total capacity, to define the maximum and minimum level alarm, the level of indication and unit of measurement

The OCIO Level Monitoring System is highly accurate, reliable and easy to install.
